May 18, 2024, Leuven, Belgium. The 35th Edition of the World Festival was organized at the Blauwputplein and train park at Hal 5 in Leuven.
Lumbini-Kapilvastu Global Campaign, Belgium (LKGCB) joined the vibrant celebration with an “Impact Stand,” aligning perfectly with the festival’s motto – “Give peace a voice!”
Over 50 national and international organizations participated, showcasing their dedication to a more peaceful world. The LKGCB stand offered a unique space for festivalgoers to delve into topics of Nepal, peace, non-violence, mental health, and overall well-being. Engaging conversations with LKGCB representatives allowed attendees to learn more about the organization’s activities and their mission.
The focus wasn’t solely on the organization’s work. The LKGCB aimed to inspire a sense of peace and understanding by sharing insights into Lumbini and Kapilvastu, the birthplace and enlightenment site of Buddha. By drawing upon his timeless message of inner peace, the LKGCB team fostered a positive and harmonious atmosphere at the festival.
The interaction with the diverse public proved enriching for both attendees and the LKGCB. This valuable platform allowed the organization to connect with the Leuven community and spread their message of non-violence, ultimately contributing to a happier and healthier world.
During this festival our partner organization, Leuven Peace Movement also organized various activities and interesting workshops around conflict resolution and peace building activities.
