On 14 December, 2016, – The President of Lumbini-Kapilvastu Global Campaign, Belgium, Damodar Prasad Acharya met the President of Belgium Buddhist Union, Carlo Luyckx at his office in Brussels, Belgium this afternoon.
President Acharya was warmly welcomed by President Luyckx. From the meeting, they reached an agreement to strengthen the relationship to promote the peace and non-violence message of Buddha.
During the meeting, Acharya presented to Luyckx the posters of Lumbini, Nepal-the birthplace of Lord Gautam Buddha and the promotional materials regarding Lumbini and Kapilvastu, including the documents of International Conference on World Peace City Lumbini, Nepal, which was held on Sunday, 27 November 2016 in Bedford Hotel and Congress Centre in Brussels.
During the visit, President Lyuckx showed President Acharya the meditation center, Stupas, book store which are installed along with his office.
