LKGC met the Bhutanese ambassador to Benelux and EU

06th July 2017-Brussels, Belgium: Today the President of Lumbini-Kapilvastu Global Campaign, Belgium, Mr Damodar Prasad Acharya and the Executive Board Member Ms YogitaThapa met the ambassador of Bhutan to Benelux and European Union, HE Ms.PemaChoden, at the Royal Bhutanese Embassy in Brussels, Belgium. The formal meeting with the ambassador was scheduled for the support of the embassy to promote the message of peace of Lord Gautam Buddha and highlight Lumbini, Nepal-the birthplace of Buddha in international arena.

In the meeting, President Acharya briefed ambassador Choden regarding the activities of the Global Campaign, in response the ambassador Ms Choden highly appreciated and praised the activities of Lumbini-Kapilvastu Global Campaign.

During the meeting, President Acharya handed over to the ambassador a framed poster of Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha, a UNESCO world heritage site and the promotional materials, including the documents of Int’l Conference on World Peace City Lumbini, Nepal which was held on 27 November 2016 in Hotel Bedford and Congress Center in Brussels, Belgium. After that, the ambassador placed that framed poster of Lumbini between the two Bhutanese national flags in the embassy. Now everybody will see the poster of Lumbini, who will enter in the embassy.
