LKGC met the ambassador of Indonesia to Benelux and EU

28th July 2017-Brussels, Belgium: Today a team of three members of Lumbini-Kapilvastu Global Campaign, Belgium met the ambassador of Republic of Indonesia to Benelux and European Union, HE Mr Yuri Octavian Thamrin, at the embassy in Brussels, Belgium. The Europe Adviser of Lumbini-Kapilvastu Day Global Movement and the President of Lumbini-Kapilvastu Global Campaign, Belgium, Mr Damodar Prasad Acharya, led the three member team. The Executive Board Members of Lumbini-Kapilvastu Global Campaign, Belgium, MsYogitaThapa and Mr Anil Thapa, were among in the meeting.

 
In the meeting, President Acharya explained to the ambassador Thamrin about the main activities of the organization and reminded him about the invitation which was sent to the Indonesian Embassy last year to participate in the Int’l Conference on World Peace City Lumbini, Nepal which was held in Hotel Bedford and Congress Centre in Brussels on 27 November 2016.
In response, ambassador Thamrin committed to participating in upcoming events of the organization.

 
President Acharya also requested ambassador Thamrin to support the promotion of peace message of Buddha and highlight Lumbini, Nepal as World Peace City and solidarity for further actions of the organization. The ambassador replied that he will try his best to get support from the Indonesian government and the people of Indonesia in future activities of the organization.

 
During the meeting, President Acharya handed over to the ambassador a framed poster of Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha, a UNESCO world heritage site and the promotional materials, including the documents of Int’l Conference on World Peace City Lumbini, Nepal, and thanked for welcoming in the embassy for the meeting.
