
05 June, 2017- Leuven, Belgium: Lumbini-Kapilvastu Global Campaign presented a framed picture of Lumbini as a gift to the Justice Minister of Belgium, Mr Koen Geens.
The gift was presented by the Europe advisor of Global Campaign and the chairman of Lumbini-Kapilvastu Global Campaign, Belgium, Mr Damodar Prasad Acharya, during the Mid Summer Festival at Oud Heverlee Leuven, which was organized by the CD&V party.
Lumbini-Kapilvastu Global Campaign expects that this short meeting with the Minister Geens will strengthen the bilateral relationship to promote the message of peace of Buddha and highlight Lumbini, Nepal as the World Peace City worldwide.
After handing over the picture of Lumbini, chairman Acharya briefed Minister Geens about Lumbini being the birthplace of Lord Gautam Buddha, the fountain of world peace and a holy place of the Buddhist pilgrimage around the globe.
In the invitation of Former Senator and Federal Parliament Member Ms Els Van Hoof, chairman Acharya attended the festival.
